Whether on the move, in camps or in host communities refugees lose precious years of education. Everybody suffers, but our experience in the field shows that teenagers and young adults are in a desperate situation. It's obvious that uneducated youth will become unskilled adults, and when finally given asylum their dreams and ambitions will be compromised by working low-paying jobs to support their families.

ReFOCUS aims to changing the situation by training refugees to develop modern skills and avoid the trap of unstable employment. We're bringing marketable skills to refugee camps and community centers. By offering video production, photography, audio editing, computer and graphic design classes ReFOCUS helps refugees learn modern communication skills, control how their story is told and instill the confidence needed to pursue real careers.
